| 30 Oct 2003 | Shdwdrgn XX | I know this is clique, but seriously the first thought I had when i saw this was: wow. I love the monocromatic theme you have going on here, and the stylization in the face is just amazing. I cant believe no one has said anything. I think your work really stands out, even in the hundreds of thousands of elfwood artists- because you have such a unique style all of your own- you don't try to be anything but what you feel like and I think that's really commendable. Eileen Megan Steinhauer replies: "Lauren, that is one of the most beautiful compliments I've gotten! THANK YOU! And I don't think you sound clique, in fact I'm very glad you like it! I don't do monochromatic pieces very often, mainly because I love to play warms and cools off of each other, but I'm trying to get out of old patterns and old habits, and trying to do something new, at least for me. I'm happy that it's liked! And I'm very, very, very happy that me and my art are appreciated just the way we are! " | |
| 3 Jan 2004 | Stephanie C. Murray | Wow...I absolutely love this pic...I noticed the eyes right off. ^^ I have a real thing for eyes. I love the color for this picture. The designs there under the eye are amazing, and the nose is really spiffy too! | |
| 3 Apr 2004 | Sander J. Kok | I probably like this best in your gallery, maybe because it has color. Very well done, I like the blue, and the way you did her eye works very well! good job on the nose, and the fact her hair still looks like hair, even though it doesnt have strands like hair does! if you know what I mean! | |
| 23 Nov 2004 | Mikaela | Im sorry... I know i am carping... The picture is beautiful but i think you and your friend mean cliche, not clique. | |
| 23 Nov 2004 | Rebecca D. Hardy | Great job! Very interesting. | |
| 1 Jan 2005 | Raiya Storm | *Looks at the ^first^ comment.* I totally agree. The monocromaticness rocks, but there is something so much deeper besides the style or the medium; the mystery. Why is she sad? What gives this ethereal girl such a sorrowful wisdom? Whatever it is, it's very breath taking. You're truly a magnificent artist! | |
